About Our Business
The only one-stop solution for hydroelectric power
HM HYDRO strives to improve our technical capabilities and provide our customers with high-quality products and services to enable highly efficient and stable operation of hydroelectric power plants. Through these efforts, HM HYDRO will contribute to the realization of a carbon-neutral society and the stable supply of electric power.
What is Hydroelectric Power?
In hydropower generation, the potential energy of water is converted into kinetic energy to turn a water turbine, which is connected to a generator to generate electricity. Because hydropower generation uses river water, it does not use fossil fuels such as coal, oil, or natural gas, and emits no carbon dioxide. It contributes greatly to solving the global climate change problem and realizing a carbon-neutral society.
Variation of water turbine
Hydroelectric power plants have different heads and flow rates depending on the site location and the suitable type of water turbine is selected for each site.
Pumped Storage Power Plant
Pumped storage power plants are power plants with a kind of power storage function that pumps water to use surplus power and generate electricity to meet power demand. Among them, adjustable-speed pumped storage power plants have the ability to adjust power loads at millisecond speeds, contributing to the stabilization of the power system.
Total Engineering
Depending on the performance, function, and construction time required by the customer, HM HYDRO provides the main equipment such as hydraulic turbines, inlet valves, generators, and control system, and also propose a plant including the auxiliary equipment, such as main circuit equipment and power supply equipment.
HM HYDRO provides high quality plant services through total engineering from design, procurement, installation to commissioning and adjustment.
HM HYDRO also responds to requests for upgrading and performance improvement of existing equipment.
